Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA) Program

The Sydney Youth Cancer Service is a dedicated cancer service for young adult patients with cancer who are between 15-25 years of age, and their families. The service represents a collaboration between paediatric and adult cancer specialists at Sydney Children’s Kids Cancer Centre and Prince of Wales comprehensive Cancer Centre.

The multidisciplinary team provides expertise in the management of young people with cancer so patients benefit from tumour specific and age appropriate medical, psychological and social care.

The program has a psychosocial team made up of two clinical nurse consultants, a social worker and a clinical psychologist who are able to provide assessment and support for any young adult patient having treatment.
